OSLO PRIDE
16-21 June 2007

The gay-friendly city of Oslo holds a weeklong Pride celebration that begins with a Gay & Lesbian Film Festival and ends with a parade on Saturday. This capital city of Norway is surrounded by a beautiful fjord and forests, and the gay life is on a small and intimate scale.

The timing of Oslo Pride is perfect for visitors wishing to experience Midsummer in the heart of the Land of the Midnight Sun, and the summer months are wonderfully green in Oslo.

HELSINKI PRIDE
26 June – 2 July 2007

The Helsinki Pride celebrations pick up where the Midsummer Festival leaves off. The week long program ends with a parade that starts at Sinebrychoff Park at midday and ends at Kaisaniemi Park, where the party continues throughout the day. The main party starts that evening at 9 pm and goes throughout the long summer daylight into the early hours of the morning.

Helsinki is surrounded on three sides by water, and the city offers much in the way of Finnish design as well as hospitality numerous gay restaurants, bars, cafes and clubs.

STOCKHOLM PRIDE
30 july -04 aug. 2007

Stockholm Pride is the largest in the North and has increasingly become one of summer’s most popular events. The venue of the festival is Pride Park, located in Tantolunden on Södermalm, where there is a variety of music and activities as well as plenty of good food and shopping. Celebrations abound throughout the city, including special film and art showings. The parade is a colorful carnival-like procession through Stockholm.

As the capital of Sweden, the city showcases royal residences and a sophisticated life style throughout the many islands upon which the city is built. There is a warm and receptive gay life.

COPENHAGEN PRIDE
18-26 August 2007

In addition to being the capital city of Denmark, Copenhagen could be considered as the Nordic gay party capital. The week-long Copenhagen Pride celebration was previously known as Mermaid Pride, referring to city symbol The Little Mermaid, which graces the city’s inner harbor. The final day of celebration highlights a parade of carnival proportions, ending at the Town Hall Square in mid afternoon, when the party begins and lasts until the early hours of the morning.

Along with the many galleries, museums and historical sites, Copenhagen is home to the world- famous Tivoli Gardens with its thousands of flowers, lights, restaurants and attractions.
